I have another blog called From Chubby to Ironwoman where I document my struggle to one day complete a full Ironman distance triathlon. So far it is not going so well!
Despite my lack of ironman progress I feel I have learnt a little more about healthy eating and nutrition and that has lead me to look into other food and environmental issues.
And so here is the result! My new blog dedicated to bettering myself, bettering my environment, bettering my relationship with others and generally trying to become a better human being.
I'd like to just make a small note that I am not really a bad person! I've never been to jail, got a speeding ticket or killed a daddy long legs intentionally! But I feel we could all could benefit from a little improvement.
So i've set myself 4 bettering points:
- Body - Improving my body through exercise and food. Sourcing quality ingredients, accessing whats good and bad for me.
- Mind - Improving my mind through exercise and food but also with new learning, experiences and mind training, meditation etc.
- Environment - Doing my bit to reduce my carbon foot print and leave less of an impact on the world and a good place for my children.
- Other people - To become more caring towards other people, both friends and family, local strangers and people I might never meet.
Ok I think thats it. Lets see how I go. And to end this image is from a recent trip to New Zealand, its to remind me of beauty in the world, how lucky I am to have the luxury to travel and what an amazing partner I have (not pictured obviously!).
